How to Color Rudolph's Nose
We used alcohol markers for this technique, along with a few gel pens for some added sparkle! But feel free to try this with any medium you choose! Have fun coloring Rudolph and his shiny nose!
Step 1: Red Glow

With the lightest red, draw a soft halo around the nose, keeping strokes off the fur.
Using the next lightest red, draw a smaller halo inside the first and blend outward into the lightest red.
Repeat with the 3rd lightest red and bled into the 2nd.
Step 2: Sky Glow

Outline the red halo with the lightest sky color and gently blend it into the lightest red.
Repeat the outline with the darkest sky color and blend into the lightest sky color.
Step 3: Glowy Nose

Using the third lightest red, color a small circle on the side of the nose nearest the fur (about 1/3 of the nose).
Use the 4th lightest red to add a circle around the first so the nose is about 2/3 filled.
Blend with the 3rd lightest shade.
Repeat with the darkest color of red, completing the nose. Blend with the fourth lightest shade.
Step 4: Antlers, Hooves, and Glowy Fur

Draw a halo on the fur with the lightest brown to match the first halo.
Outline with the 2nd lightest brown and blend.
Fill the rest of the fur with the 3rd lightest brown and blend into the 2nd.
Use the darkest brown to color ing the antlers and hooves.
Step 5: Furry Texture (Optional Add)

Add short strokes, light brown over light brown, then darker brown over darker brown areas.
Blend by allowing the strokes to overlap where the base is layered.
Use the white gel pen for fine highlights on the lightest brown.
Deepen distant-edge shadows with the darkest brown.
Top with a thin layer of brown glitter gel pen for texture.
