Sometimes you want to take your coloring with you! Whether you are going to be on a long plane flight or at your favorite local coffee shop, coloring can add some fun and creativity to your day!
Best Coloring Mediums to take on the go!

There are so many coloring mediums out there, and all of them can add something to your art! But for on-the-go coloring, some are easier to use than others. For example, if you want to color in the car, you probably don't want to bring crayons unless you want your car to be decorated with puddles of melted wax. So, here are a few easier coloring mediums to take with you on the go.
Colored Pencils

If you are coloring on the go, colored pencils are a great option. They don't melt and come in a variety of colors. They also come in small sizes for traveling, making them even easier to take with you! This is definitely a medium we would recommend bringing for on-the-go coloring.
Markers
Markers can also be a good option for on-the-go coloring. They don't melt, but they are a little more difficult to take with you than colored pencils. They are less compact, and you will need to bring extra paper with you if you don't want the marker to decorate the next page of your coloring book. Also, you need to be a little careful when flying with alcohol markers and some other types of markers, as they do limit how many you can take on planes.
Twistable Colored Pencils

Twistable Colored Pencils are great for on-the-go coloring because they don't melt and don't require a sharpener! They don't have the same issues as markers with limits on flights (as they are not liquid), and they don't bleed through like markers do either! This makes them one of the best mediums for coloring on the go!
Coloring Books for On the Go Coloring

You can usually take coloring books with you as they are usually pretty small, but when you don't have a lot of space, mini coloring books can be really helpful. They don't take up a lot of space and are easier to color with small colored pencils. All of our coloring books come in two sizes: a mini 6-inch by 6-inch version and a larger 8.5-inch by 8.5-inch version. Both sizes work great for coloring on the go, but the 6x6 inch size is a great option for traveling.
Tips and Tricks for On-the-Go Coloring
1. Bring a Book
You can use a clipboard too, but we usually use a hardcover book. It is much easier to color on a hard surface, even in a coloring book, so unless you only plan on coloring on flights, we recommend bringing something hard and flat to color on.
2. Get a Travel-Size Set of Colored Pencils
You can also get a small case to put the colors you use most in. If you have a larger color pack and don't use every color, it is easier to just bring the colors you want to use. Colored pencils are one of the easiest mediums to take on the go, but you can also do this with any other medium you want to bring with you.
3. Don't Forget Paper
If you use markers for on-the-go coloring, make sure you remember to bring extra paper to put behind the page you are coloring to prevent bleed-through. Even if you don't use markers, you might want to bring some paper if you like testing out your colors before using them.
